NLCS Preview

The NLCS starts tonight in Philadelphia as the Phillies host the Los Angeles Dodgers. Certainly not the pairing many teams would have selected this spring or even at the start of these playoffs with the Cubs picked by many to be the favorite. But as a fan of the game I'm glad to know we'll have a fresh face in the World Series representing the National League.

Several storylines surrounding this series
* Can the Phillies rotation contain Manny Ramirez?
* Will Jimmy Rollins play well and lead this team?
* Will Ryan Howard be a strikeout machine or an RBI machine?
* How will Charlie Manuel manage against the playoff wizard, Joe Torre?
* Which Brett Myers will show up on the mound?

Usually in the playoffs the winners are determined by pitching, but for some reason I like the inferior rotation of the Phillies. The Dodgers have more pitching depth but I like Cole Hamels chances to continue his success and a motivated Brett Myers to form a dangerous 1-2 punch that'll put the Phillies in the World Series for the first time since 1993.

BOLD PREDICTION
The Twins MVB likes the Phillies with the home field advantage in 6 games over the LA Dodgers!
